This great hearty soup is simple to make, the thicker the better. Putting tomatoes in this chowder was so frowned upon in New England that back in 1939 a bill was passed that made it illegal to put tomatoes in clam chowder.

Italian Wedding Soup

The tiny meatballs will be a big hit with the children not to say the adults. The name Wedding soup comes from the Italian minestra maritata which really means married soup referring to how the green vegetables and meat go together well.
